Rob is the Head of Finance and Operations at Grow Asia, where he serves as Grow Asia's regional financial controller, overseeing all financial and operational requirements. He collaborates closely with the Executive Director and Heads of Departments to assess the operational needs of the Grow Asia network and translate the organization’s strategic vision into operational solutions. 

 

Rob’s responsibilities include grant management and compliance; monitoring and overseeing the life cycle of grants and matching contributions under GrowVentures, GrowHer, GrowRight and GrowBeyond. 

 

In addition to financial oversight, Rob provides organization and team leadership. He guides and facilitates the scale-up of human capacity and capability to accommodate new programs and country chapters in line with organizational growth. This involves working closely with the Head of Partnerships to support operations in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam, and provide direct oversight to Grow Asia’s programs in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. 

  

Rob brings more than a decade of experience in international NGO financial management, working in various financial and HR roles for Doctors without Borders, VSO International, Doctors of the World, and most recently as Regional Finance and Administration Manager for Asia for the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in the Singapore regional office. Prior to this, Rob worked in the corporate sector in finance & business planning, and the public sector in financial management reform. 

  

Rob studied Business Administration at the undergraduate level at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and is also a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
