Fanny is the Regional Communications Manager of Grow Asia, a multi-stakeholder partnership platform that builds regional and country partnerships to broker market-driven solutions for more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems in Southeast Asia. Grow Asia does this by convening global and regional stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as civil society and farmer organizations around macro-level issues (e.g., agri-food innovation, women’s economic empowerment, responsible investing, and climate change resilience) and by facilitating the development of more inclusive and sustainable value chains through partnership brokerage, developing and sharing best practice, and creating an ecosystem that supports collaboration. Grow Asia was established by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat.

 

Fanny’s role is to cement Grow Asia’s position as a leader in building multi-stakeholder, market-driven, and action-oriented partnerships for more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems. Fanny oversees the development and implementation of Grow Asia's communication strategies across Southeast Asia and manages the organization's public relations, raising Grow Asia's global profile with media, policy-makers, implementing agencies, donors, and the public. In collaboration with the broader Grow Asia team, Fanny also highlights Grow Asia's successes and learnings while effectively communicating the complexity of the issues facing our region's food system. Fanny has a background in impact assessment, public relations, marketing, and branding and previously worked in the UK, Singapore, and Vietnam.

 

Fanny holds a first-class MA from the University of Edinburgh in Business and Geography with Honours, where she focused her studies on food system history and wrote a first-class dissertation on the self-conceptualization of Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam.
